Herbal Essence Shampoos

The lovely people at Matchstick sent me some Herbal Essence shampoos and conditioners from their new Hydralicious collection. I bought Herbal Essence a little while ago - the "Long Term Relationship" but wasn't really loving it for my hair. I've been using the orange one (Featherweight) this week and am really liking it - I guess there really is different shampoos for different hair types.

I fell deeply in love with local stylist Greg May's products during TIFF last Fall. We'll see if I fall in love with Herbal Essence - tomorrow I start on the pink (self-targeting) one.

I have some coupons for free full size shampoos so if you see me out and about, ask me for one - I have a few left!

I am In Love With: Smashbox O-Gloss

On my visit to the Smashbox Swag Lounge during the Toronto International Film Festival I got one of their O-Glosses. I love it - it isn't crazy sticky like some lip glosses and gives my lips my own natural pink hue - totally perfect for getting a little colour on your pucker without transferring it anywhere. I have no idea what Goji Berry-C Complex really is except that it reacts with your own "lip chemistry" to create your own personal pink hue. I don't even want to know what really is in it. I love it too much.

Fergie Gets Photoshopped for MAC's Viva Glam VI

Fergie is joins Dita Von Teese, Deborah Harry, and Pamela Anderson as model for the MAC Viva Glam Campaign.

She's even "created" her own lipstick shade, VI Lipglass, which will be available in March. (I'm sure she just picked from a bunch of colours that they already developed. )

I have to admit she looks good - nothing like a great creative team, good lighting and a bit of photoshopping.

My fave Viva Glam girl will always be Dita Von Teese - now that's a lady who can never do wrong!

The Body Shop Founder Dies

Dame Anita Roddick, The Body Shop Founder, died today at the age of 64 following a brain hemorrhage. The long time human rights and environmental campaigner founded The Body Shop in 1976 with no training or experience in business. Thirty years later, The Body Shop has over 2,045 stores in 51 different markets.

She was the woman who started a business based on conscious. Asking consumers questions like, "Why waste a container when you can refill it?" and "Why buy more of something than you can use?" She used her experience from the Second World War where everything was reused, refilled and recycled out of necessity. She believed that businesses had the power to do good and wanted to use her stores and her products to communicate human rights and environmental issues. She was involved with many different campaigns, teaming up with organizations like Greenpeace.
